Project 1.1 Wings of Desire_Chronogram

The first project of the new year a chronogram of the film Wings of Desire and the library sequence in particular, the objective was to map a film clip and begin to question the way in which movies are shot and then displayed, the relevance of the camera movements and what effects these have of the viewer.

Personal Outcome:
Looking at moving image and breaking this down into a drawing in which represents the film and my views on the scenes shot and the relevant/ important sequences highlighted throughout, the drawing above maps the movement of the camera and the line of movement across the short clip, the film is split over two levels with many camera angles to emphasize an emotion or a scene, switching from 1st and 3rd person perspectives, the film audio is highlighted in a voice recording drawing with the high intensity of the music highlighted in the orange overlay and the low audio outputs in blue.
